FAQ

What electric vehicle models is this unit compatible with? Can JuicePump charge Teslas?

JuicePump supports the J1772 connector standards used by all major EV manufacturers for DC Fast Charging stations in North America and can therefore charge any EV on the market. Drivers can charge their Teslas with JuicePump via an adapter commonly owned and used by Tesla drivers.

What are the connectivity options of the JuicePump 175kW?

JuicePump 175kW can be connected via Ethernet, WiFi and LTE options. To use the Credit Card Reader (CCR) as a payment collection option, a data plan is required. However, a separate LTE SIM is not required.

Do I need an Ethernet setup?

You will need either a WiFi or Ethernet connection to use JuicePump’s smart charging features, such as power monitoring, scheduling, and reminders. In areas without a reliable WiFI connection, you can use a JuiceRouter to provide reliable LTE-to-WiFi connectivity for up to 16 stations within a 150’ radius. In the absence of WiFi, your JuicePump will act as a standard charging unit, and any schedules or limits you set when connected to WiFi will remain, even if the JuicePump is no longer connected to WiFi or Ethernet. We highly recommend connecting your JuicePump to WiFi, but your car will be charged even if you cannot connect.

How quickly will an electric vehicle charge using the JuicePump 175kW stations?

The JuicePump 175kW charging stations can charge most vehicles up to 80% in under 20 minutes and charge any vehicles up to 80% in under 30 minutes.

How can I save money with JuicePump stations?

With the JuiceNet smart charging platform, you can use the load balancing feature to cap your overall electricity consumption and control demand charges to reduce your energy bills. And, by controlling your load through software, you can expand your EV charging operations without expensive infrastructure upgrades.

What is smart charging?

A smart charging station is a station that is connected to the Internet and can respond to grid signals. Smart charging allows businesses to optimize charging sessions and participate in utility programs to save electricity and reduce electric bills.

What is the difference between Level 3 charging (commonly known as DC fast charging), Level 2 charging, and Level 1 charging?

A Level 1 charger is simply charging from a standard 120V household outlet, which only provides about 4 to 5 miles of range per hour. Level 2 chargers, like our JuiceBox charging stations, take in a voltage supply over 200 volts and charge a typical EV at a rate between 12 to 60 miles of range per hour, depending on how much power the charger can supply, and how much power the EV can accept.

As compared to level 1 and 2 charging, level 3 charging, or more commonly known as DC fast charging, is available in a much higher voltage, which allows for very rapid charging. This is because DC fast charging uses direct current (DC), which is different than the alternating current (AC) that is available in homes and most commercial buildings. With the JuicePump DC fast charging stations, drivers can charge electric vehicles to 80 percent in 20-30 minutes.

What are the benefits of offering DC Fast Charging?

By offering EV charging, you can establish your business as a forward-looking and sustainable leader. JuicePump 175kW is a DC fast charger that is built to last and made for high utilization customer needs including fleets and re-fueling stations than plan to scale electrification infrastructure.

How do I take advantage of local EV charging incentives?

You can use our rebate eligibility checker to search our database of local incentives and rebates available for electric vehicle supply equipment in your area. If you are eligible for a rebate, you will likely need to file appropriate materials with the utility or local organization providing the rebate after purchase. Our chargers are also available for instant rebates in certain areas, so please make sure to check your eligibility and to follow up with your energy provider.

Is JuicePump safety certified?

Yes, JuicePump is UL Listed, which means it adheres to the highest safety standards for electric vehicle supply equipment.

What is your return/refund policy? Is there a warranty?

If you are not 100% satisfied with your purchase, you can return the product for a refund within 30 days of your purchase. Learn more about our satisfaction guarantee return and refund policy.

We also offer a 2-year limited warranty for the JuicePump 175kW. Please note that this warranty is only valid for use under normal commercial operating conditions. Using JuicePump outside of normal commercial operating conditions voids the commercial warranty. Read more about our warranty.

How can customers pay for their JuicePump 175kW charging session?

Customers can pay for their JuicePump 175kW charging session via scanning a QR Code, using our Mobile App with RFiD authenticated options through Stripe, or through a Credit Card Reader (CCR) through Worldpay.

What is the installation process for the JuicePump 175kW charging stations?

The JuicePump 175kW charging stations is made up of two units – the power unit and the dispenser unit. The JuicePump 175kW offers a flexible modular solution with two options. Users can either attach two dispenser units with one power cabinet or two power cabinets with one dispenser unit. Installation can be completed by trained installers and Enel X Way installation partners. Contact Enel X Way Sales to learn more.

Will JuicePump stations work in rain and snow?

Yes, JuicePump stations are ruggedized for indoor and outdoor installation, even in extreme weather conditions. All JuicePump stations meet NEMA 4X standards for durability.
