Sonoma Clean Power is partnering with eMotorWerks to offer its customers an incentive program known as Drive EverGreen that helps customers in Sonoma and Mendocino counties reduce GHG emissions, utilize more renewable energy, and contribute to climate change solutions. The main goal of the program is to accelerate EV adoption by reducing the cost of owning an EV.

“We are pleased to report that over the past two years, our program has helped customers save over $10 million on electric vehicles, and we have given away over 1,700 free home chargers!”

The program was rolled out in 2016 and since the beginning over 1,700 free smart level 2 EV chargers were provided to SCP customers. Customers who lost their home charging stations as a result of the fires last year were offered a free replacement. Most importantly, customers can enroll in GridSavvy program, a demand response program which relies on cloud-based JuiceNet software built into charging stations and can adjust the charging rate or briefly interrupt the charging session through remote signals from the utility. This is how Sonoma Clean Power ensures its customers are using the cleanest, most renewable energy available on the grid.
