Polis signs electric vehicle bill, but will Coronavirus set back its aims?

As Denver Business Journal reports, Gov. Jared Polis has signed into law a bill that his Colorado Energy Office director believes will speed more electric vehicles onto the state’s highways. The question, however, is whether the coronavirus spread will knock out a significant number of auto sales for the foreseeable future.

 

Chris Baker, North American innovation sales-team leader for global clean-power provider Enel X Way, said he believes that in the long term, more consumers will demand low- or zero-emissions vehicles, and Colorado’s removing barriers to get them to purchasers will bolster business in the state.
