eMotorWerks has partnered up with Webasto, one of the top 100 automotive suppliers worldwide, to deliver a new line of intelligent and cloud connected EV charging solutions for automotive OEMs.

The integration with eMotorWerks’ JuiceNet software will help Webasto design smart grid charging products which enable electric vehicle drivers to charge their cars with the cleanest energy on the grid. Electric utilities benefit from this partnership as they can aggregate and control EV charging load, and thus improve the stability of the grid.

This is the first time a traditional Tier 1 automotive supplier teams up with a company developing a software platform for electric vehicles to deliver innovative solutions directly to automotive manufacturers and dealer networks.
